Our metal castings are made from a variety of materials and processes that requires very specialized knowledge of metallurgy and manufacturability to guarantee a reliable, quality product. From magnesium and brass to stainless steel and superalloys,
we have the capable foundries, machine shops and coating technology to fit your casting and machining needs.

Magnesium Casting

As light-weight as plastic, magnesium has the advantage of greater strength and rigidity along with inherent EMI/RFI shielding, durability, heat-dissipation, and full recyclability. Pacific Metal Works is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of magnesium casting. With 10 fully automated cold and hot chamber machines from 300 ton to 2000 ton, we produce magnesium parts in a range of sizes from 0.75” x 0.75” to 18” x 18”.

Squeeze Cast Aluminum

Pacific Metal Works has the ability to squeeze cast aluminum and magnesium by vertical and horizontal squeeze casting machines. The most powerful vertical machine has 1500 tons of clamp force, 1200 tons of injection / squeeze force, and is capable of casting a part that is 3 feet x 3 feet with the maximum thickness 5 inches. We understand the requirements of high integrity castings and are ready to partner in vehicle lightweighting and other high performance product development efforts.

Die Casting

Pacific Metal Works specializes in manufacturing die cast products made from aluminum and zinc alloy materials. Our precision aluminum and zinc die cast parts are widely used by Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies for engine, transmission and electronic applications in automotive, agricultural, medical, aerospce, defense and off-highway industries. Equipped with automated LK and Toshiba machines with locking forces ranging from 160T to 2,500T, our plant casts durable and precise components from a few grams to over 100 pounds.

ADI Casting

Pacific Metal Works produces austempered ductile iron (ADI) castings for gears, crankshafts, axles and other critical parts to achieve exceptional strength and toughness. Our experienced metallurgist knows the quality of the raw materials before they enter the furnace and the metallurgy occurring within the furnace, so the proper microstructure of the iron is assured to make ADI. Our commitment to every step of the process results in superior castings.

Investment Casting

Pacific Metal Works is a leader in the manufacture of investment casting or lost wax casting products. We pour 100 plus ferrous and nonferrous alloys, making castings ranging from a few ounces to over 200 pounds. We also offer machining, heat treatment, assembly, painting, finishing, and packaging services. Critical parts manufactured by investment casting include gears, cams, ratchets, turbine blades, medical fixtures, machinery components and other parts of complex geometry.
