Cold Heading

Our cold heading and cold forming product lines include screws, bolts, rivets, pins, studs, and specialty hardware items for auto seating, steering, powertrain, chassis and suspension. Pacific Metal Works also supply washer assembled fasteners (SEMS), double-end studs, should bolts and many kinds of non-fasteners parts with complex shapes. No matter if metric or standard specified, our cold heading and cold forming products can be economically made in any material, size or volume you require.

Cold Heading

Pacific Metal Works is a repetitive manufacturer of customer designed specialty cold headed parts by using horizontally reciprocating rams and stationary bolsters. These two types of equipment have the ability of transforming a wire into an intricately shaped part with tight tolerances at speeds up to 400 pieces per minute. Combined with computer aided design, precision machining and sub-assembly, our cold heading capabilities are endless.

Cold Forming

Our cold forming process compliments the cold heading process by adding more intricate shapes to the cold headed blank. Pacific Metal Works uses hydraulically powered vertical presses in a range from 5 tons to 1000 tons with strokes from 4 inches to 36 inches and speeds from 7 pieces per minute to 50 pieces per minute. The secondary processes include upsetting, trimming, thread rolling, knurling, slotting and heat treating etc.
